I’m a British Sri Lankan documentary filmmaker with a strong background in digital, advocacy, and campaigns. My work spans the non-profit, tech, and media sectors, combining creativity, strategy, and purpose to deliver campaigns that inspire action and create meaningful impact.
With expertise in digital strategy, video production, and web development, I pair technical skills with a passion for human rights, conservation, and social justice. I’ve collaborated with numerous non-profit organisations to craft compelling narratives, lead multi-channel campaigns, and create engaging digital experiences. My early career in journalism and business IT gave me a solid foundation in problem-solving and digital innovation.
I use storytelling and technology to amplify voices, drive change, and make a lasting difference. I welcome commissions, festival opportunities, and collaborations.
I currently work at a wildlife charity in the UK and serve as the Founding Director of People’s Rights Group (PRG Sri Lanka). Alongside this, I collaborate with Activists Without Borders and several other international organisations to address critical human rights issues.
Previously, I was Chief Editor of Nesan Publications and Associate Editor of Social Vision Magazine. Over the years, I have been deeply engaged in campaigns that challenge injustice and have produced award-winning documentaries exposing both human and environmental rights violations.
I also contribute to international advocacy, lobbying at the United Nations in Geneva during OHCHR sessions to amplify the voices of affected communities and influence global human rights policy.

Over the years, I have produced a range of documentaries and short campaign videos, both independently and in collaboration with various organisations. These projects include Minority Rights Cremated, a documentary highlighting the issue of forced cremations in Sri Lanka; a short film examining the economic crisis; and an experimental split-screen piece contrasting politicians and the public. I am currently focused on character-led documentaries that address social issues across the globe.
